ABOUT SCOTT MCCRAY – MAGICIAN IN DENVER

The Madman Behind the Magic

It was at Zeezo’s Magic Castle, a Denver area magic shop, that Scott McCray first became enthralled by the world of magic at the age of seven. After six long years of practice, professional instruction and a fair share of bloopers and blunders, Scott gave his first professional magic performance at only 13. By the end of the show he was hooked, and soon after began to take his studies of the magical arts more seriously. He soon became the understudy of renowned speaker, humorist and accomplished magician, Brad Montgomery. Under his tutelage, Scott refined his magical talents and in 1990 took first place in the 1990 Magic Days Convention Junior Magician competition.

In high school, Scott’s success at the Magic Days competition helped him land a job at Zeezo’s Magic Castle, the very shop where his love affair with magic began. The job at Zeezo’s allowed him to rub elbows with some of the best magicians in Colorado, encouraging him to continue his magical studies. Scott continued to perfect his craft and earned a little money on the side by performing at parties and events.
